Crystal Bowersox, the American Idol sensation who awed us with her vocal ability, stage presence, and signature dreadlocks, will perform live at Tobin Center for the Performing Arts on Wednesday, November 14th. American Idol fans, get your tickets today!
Bowersox, an Ohio native, moved to Chicago after graduating high school and became a local street performer to make ends meet. She was discovered by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and was sent to Birmingham, England to represent the city in the "Experience Chicago" festival held there.
After years of constant touring without major success, Bowersox auditioned for American Idol in 2010, performing Janis Joplin's hit "Piece of My Heart". She was immediately hailed as one of the front-runners before finishing in second place behind Lee DeWyze.
After performing on the multi-city American Idol Tour, Bowersox released her debut album in December 2010. Farmer's Daughter was a mix of folk-rock and country and debuted at #28 on the Billboard 200. Bowersox has since released two more studio albums, All That for This (2013) and Alive (2017). She now tours in support of her most recent release.
General admission tickets to see Crystal Bowersox live are now available for purchase. No assigned seating is given for this event.
